This policy explains how Japan Recap handles information when you use the app.
Japan Recap does not require an account for its core trip-planning features. If you contact support by email, we receive the email address and message content you choose to send.
The app may store settings, language preference, favorites, recently viewed places and saved trip plans on your device so your choices can be restored later.
When supported live features are used, the app may send trip-related search information such as place names, route endpoints, approximate coordinates, planned times and language settings to Japan Recap's protected backend. The backend may use Google Maps Platform services such as Places and Routes to return relevant results. Service providers may process technical request information needed to provide and secure these services.
Japan Recap uses Firebase App Check on supported production paths to help protect backend services from unauthorized use. App integrity tokens and related technical information may be processed by Firebase/Apple device-attestation services as part of this protection.
The current app release does not use a general Google AdMob advertising SDK. Some booking links are affiliate links and are marked as advertising. If you use an external booking or affiliate link, the external provider's own privacy policy applies.
If Premium In-App Purchase is enabled in a future production release, payment processing is handled by the relevant app store. Japan Recap does not receive your full payment-card details from the app store.
If you share a trip plan or open an external website, your device and the external service handle that action according to their own policies.
We may update this policy when app features or service providers change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
