This Privacy Policy explains how Japan Recap (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App.

The App does not require you to create an account. We do not ask you to enter your name, email address, phone number, or address inside the App.
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and the contents of your message so that we can respond to your inquiry.
2. Photos and recap content
The App may allow you to select photos or create travel recap images. Photos selected in the App are used to create your recap experience on your device. We do not operate a user account server for uploading or storing your personal photos.
If you save a recap to your device or share it to another app or service, that action is handled by your device and the service you choose to use. Please review the privacy practices of any third-party services you share content with.
3. Local storage
The App may store settings, saved places, saved recaps, favorites, and app preferences locally on your device. This helps the App remember your choices and display saved content.
4. Advertising
The App may display advertisements using Google AdMob or similar advertising services. Advertising partners may collect data such as device identifiers, advertising data, approximate location derived from IP address, diagnostics, performance data, and interaction information for purposes such as ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and improving ad performance.
You can manage advertising tracking and privacy choices through your device settings where available. Some regions may require additional consent choices before personalized ads are shown.
5. Affiliate links and external websites
The App may contain links to external websites or partner services, including travel booking, stay search, experience search, maps, or activity providers. If you open an external link, your interaction is subject to the privacy policy and terms of that external website or service.
Some links may be affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you book or buy through partner links, at no additional cost to you.
6. Third-party services
The App may use third-party services and SDKs to support app features, ads, links, sharing, and device functionality. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.
Examples may include advertising services, device sharing features, external browser links, map services, app store services, and booking or activity partners.
